After having held a meeting with President Hugo Chávez to review the results of the working day that this Monday accomplished the Venezuelan and Brazilian delegations, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicolás Maduro stated that the great strategic axes of this new stage in the bilateral relations are the strengthening of the agrucultural production and the households construction in Venezuela.
In the main door of the Miraflores Presidential palace, president’s main office, Minister of Brazilian Foreign Affairs Antonio de Aguiar Patriota pointed out that it was a the productive meeting in which they reviewed the bilateral agenda and schedules further encounters to tackle a number of common topics.
Aiming at the transformation of South America into a zone of economic cooperation, Patriota said they also tackled matters related to the commercial, industrial and social fields.
“We are talking about Mercosur and Unasur, and how to planify the entrance as soon as possible of Venezuela like a full member,” said Patriota.
The foreign ministers of both nations analyzed the possibilities of widening bilateral trade, which in 2010, registered an increase over 9,52% (4,680 million dollars ) in comparison to 2009.
