Within the framework of the instructions issued by President Nicolás Maduro in the last productive day, this Monday the Great Mission AgroVenezuela (GMAV), created a tenth vertex; The Healthy Character of Food.
“This vertex seeks the safety of food, that is, devoid of any microorganism foreign to its nature, as a living structure, that does not have the capacity to damage the body of those who ingest it,” reported the coordinator of the great mission and minister for agriculture and land, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, refers to a press release.
During the meeting of the General Staff of GMAV, he announced that the vertex The Healthy Character of Food, called the “4S” (Healthy, Safe, Sovereign and Tasty), will be made up of Dr. Marilyn de Lucca, president of the institute national director of nutrition of the Ministry of Food, Dr. Marly Díaz, national director of health control of the Ministry of Health and Dr. Carla Contreras, coordinator of CODECYT Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The agricultural official explained that previously, food that did not comply with safety standards was entered and that it was detected and attacked with the science of the State, “it was born to defend production and as a need for healthy nutrition for our people.”

Castro Soteldo also released new instructions to optimize the processes and needs of the Venezuelan countryside to strengthen the economic, social and productive rights of the peasant, “the fundamental task is to strengthen the deepening, progress, consolidation and growth of CLAP”.
He urged the agri-food staff throughout the country to continuously carry out a situational report on food problems that arise in the regions for their prompt solution.
“Every day the General Staffs must send to C4 a sowing report, harvest report, price behavior, supply behavior, behavior of logistical aspects (fuel, electricity, transportation, collection center) and political temperature.”
