Brazil, February 15, 2015—The Landless Workers Movement of Brazil expressed its profound rejection of the unilateral interventionist sanctions made by the US government against the homeland of Bolivar.

Defending them against Spain has decimated a large portion of our population, but the rest are willing to face the same fate. Venezuela will defend itself against the rest of the world in the same way it fought Spain, if the rest of the world offends it.”

The Landless Workers Movement of Brazil expresses its deepest rejection of and raises its voice in protest against the infamous unilateral sanctions that the US government, faithful to its imperialist calling, is imposing upon the Venezuelan government and people.
Continuing to believe that Latin America and the Caribbean are its back yard, and making use of the ineffable Monroe Doctrine, the US government is seeking, today, in the midst of the 21st Century, to apply coercive measures in an attempt to destroy the transformative political process that has been underway in Venezuela for more than 15 years.
The imperialist government underestimates the irrevocable will of a people to be free and to transform itself into a more just society. It does not understand that, faithful to its tradition of liberation, Venezuela, under the leadership of its supreme commander Hugo Chávez, forged its own alternative to the predatory system of transnational capitalism that has kept the peoples of the world submerged in misery and exclusion for centuries. (The actions of the US government) are therefore trampling on the principles of self-determination and sovereignty enshrined in the charter of the United Nations.
In this new scenario of imperialist aggression against the Bolivarian Revolution, against the will of the Venezuelan people and against the government headed by its worker president, Nicolás Maduro, the Landless Workers Movement of Brazil expresses its firm and unwavering support for the process of construction of Bolivarian socialism expressed through new forms of participatory democracy where Popular Power is the central objective.
Recalling the words of Bolívar above, today we tell the powers concentrated in the State Department and White House that the Landless Workers Movement will not hesitate to defend, to the ultimate consequences, the aspirations of liberation passed down to us by our liberators that today are being materialized through the Bolivarian Revolution.

Brasil, 15 de febrero de 2015.- El Movimiento de los Trabajadores rurales sin Tierra de Brasil expresó su profundo rechazo a las medidas sancionatorias unilaterales e injerencistas, emprendidas por el Gobierno de Estados Unidos contra la Patria Bolívar.

“…protesto a usted que no permitiré que se ultraje ni desprecie el Gobierno y los derechos de Venezuela. Defendiéndolos contra la España ha desaparecido una gran parte de nuestra población y el resto que queda ansía por merecer igual suerte. Lo mismo es para Venezuela combatir contra España que contra el mundo entero, si todo el mundo la ofende”.

El Movimiento de los Sin Tierra del Brasil expresa su más profundo rechazo y eleva su voz de protesta en contra de las infames sanciones unilaterales que el gobierno de los Estados Unidos, fiel a su vocación imperial, impone al gobierno y al pueblo venezolano.
Creyendo todavía que América Latina y el Caribe es su patio trasero, y haciendo uso de la inefable doctrina Monroe, el gobierno estadounidense pretende hoy, en pleno siglo XXI, aplicar medidas coercitivas con el fin de resquebrajar y destruir el proceso político transformador que Venezuela vive desde hace más de tres lustros.
El gobierno imperialista subestima la voluntad irrevocable de un pueblo a ser libre y transformarse en una sociedad más justa. No comprende que fiel a su tradición libertaria, decidió bajo el liderazgo del Comandante Supremo Hugo Chávez, trazar una alternativa propia al sistema depredador representado por el capitalismo transnacional que ha mantenido a los pueblos del mundo sumergidos en miseria y exclusión por siglos. Por esa razón pisotea los principios de autodeterminación y soberanía de los pueblos contenidos en la Carta de las Naciones Unidas.
Ante este nuevo escenario de agresión imperial contra la Revolución Bolivariana, contra la voluntad del pueblo venezolano y contra el gobierno que encabeza su Presidente Obrero, Nicolás Maduro, el Movimiento Sin Tierra del Brasil manifiesta su decidido e inquebrantable apoyo al proceso de construcción del socialismo bolivariano en Venezuela que tiene su mayor expresión en las nuevas formas de democracia participativa y protagónica donde el Poder Popular es centro y objeto de la política.
Recordando las palabras del Libertador Simón Bolívar, con las que iniciamos este comunicado, le decimos hoy a los poderes fácticos concentrados en el Departamento de Estado y la Casa Blanca, que el Movimiento Sin Tierra no dudará en defender hasta sus últimas consecuencias las aspiraciones libertarias que nos dejaron nuestros libertadores y libertadoras, y que hoy se ven materializadas en la Revolución Bolivariana.
