Students and Farmers Unite in Venezuela!

For a taste of food sovereignty and participatory democracy in action, check out this great video showing how farmers and agronomy students from the Central University of Venezuela have united to defend the right of farming communities in the state of Portuguesa to access agricultural land held by the university. Together, they are putting the land to use in the spirit it was intended for – for the people and by the people! The video is in Spanish, but whether or not you speak Spanish, you’ll get the idea.
