For the NYC Crowd: Food Sovereignty @ the Left Forum

For those in and around NYC, stop by the Left Forum this weekend, which will have a series of workshops on food, including one on food sovereignty this Saturday at 10 AM.  Plus lots of workshops on Latin America, the collapse of capitalism, and all sorts of good stuff.

And here’s another upcoming event to note: the Brooklyn Food Conference on May 2, 2009.  This incredible grassroots endeavor is expected to draw 2000-3000 people to demand a better food system and work together to build one.  Featuring all sorts of great speakers, including Raj Patel, representatives of Via Campesina, and many more.
